Responsibilities
Drive the development and implementation of business continuity guidelines and plans, processes and systems to effectively support the Group’s crisis management, business continuity & resilience program for all critical businesses, extending into key suppliers and service providers, as required by regulatory requirements.
Establish a governance structure for strategic planning and execution of all Business Continuity and Resilience elements, including identification and assessment of risk and potential business disruption scenarios, tracking of mitigation actions, maintenance of strategic plans, and monitoring of overall program health, in compliance with policy, standards, and procedures.
He/She will lead a team of BCM specialists who will collaborate with various stakeholders (including Corporate Security, Human Resources, Strategic Communications, Technology, BU/SUs, country leadership teams and critical third-party service providers) to ensure the company’s readiness & preparedness, and that the Bank’s business continuity management programs, processes and responses are robust and resilient, in the event of any disruptions to critical business operations.
Provide governance secretariat support to the Group’s BCM Committee and the BCM crisis management taskforce, to ensure timely escalation and updates of crisis and BCM programs, and support decision making by senior management to assure business continuity is maintained for the bank franchise.
Lead the facilitation and coordination with Recovery Directors, respective Critical Business Managers and Business and Support Units’ (BU/SUs) Business Continuity Management (BCM) Coordinators in preparation for annual BCM attestation to Board.
Engage BU/SUs in managing internal and external thematic audits, covering all BUs and SUs and own the results of the thematic BCM audits.
Represent the Bank to liaise with regulators and work with industry (i.e. ABS) on matters relating to business continuity and resilience readiness.
Develop relationships with external partners and collaborators such as emergency management agencies, utilities, and critical recovery service providers.
