Job Description & Requirements
A relevant diploma or degree in:
· Halal science
· Food science/technology
· Islamic studies or Shariah law (especially related to halal)
· Quality assurance or related technical fields
For advanced assessments, a higher-level qualification (e.g., bachelor's degree or professional certification) may be needed.
Completion of a recognized Halal Competency or Halal Executive/Assurance Officer course, often endorsed or accredited by:
· MUIS (Singapore)
· IHIA (International Halal Integrity Alliance)
· WHFC (World Halal Food Council)
Must have passed Halal Competency Assessments themselves.
Certified as:
· Halal Executive/Assurance Officer
· Halal Trainer or Halal Auditor (for higher levels)
Relevant work experience (minimum 2–3 years) in:
· Halal food manufacturing or F&B operations
· Quality assurance in halal compliance
· Auditing or certification roles (especially involving halal standards)
Experience working with halal certification bodies or internal halal teams is highly valued.
· Completed ACTA/ACLP or DACE (in Singapore)
· Able to design, facilitate, and assess competency-based training (CBT/CBTA) formats
