Hardware Engineer, Equipment Development
Responsibilities:
- Design and Maintenance of electrical design of automation solutions for production and test equipment.
- Participation in the development of new production testing concepts as well as optimization of existing concepts.
- Create specification document for supplier from R&D test requirement.
- Review system proposal from supplier covering control, electrical and mechanical design.
- Creation and implementation of security concepts.
- Commissioning and Qualification of test equipment in production.
- Interface between R&D Engineers, Production and suppliers.
- Prepare calibration and maintenance manuals.
- Coordination of procurement of operating equipment responsibility with the external supplier.
Requirements:
- A Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or comparable qualification.
- Professional experience in the production environment is an advantage.
- Able to comprehend electrical/electronic schematic and mechanical 2D/3D drawing is a must and ability to create will be an added advantage.
- Experience in interfacing sensors, actuators, measurement equipment with digital and analog I/O modules, PLC, PC, etc.
- Experience of working with stepper and servo motor control is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as RS232, Modbus, Ethernet, ProfiNet, etc.
- Able to work independently and in a team and take initiative when required.
- Strong communication skills and good team player.
- Interest in interdisciplinary issues and strong affinity for technical topics.
