Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the coffee bar, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of quality.
- Train, mentor, and motivate baristas to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment.
- Maintain and develop where necessary beverage recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in all drinks.
- Monitor inventory and manage ordering of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and ensure a memorable experience.
- Stay informed about coffee trends, techniques, and innovations in barista skills.
- Assist in marketing efforts, including social media promotions and community events.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or equivalent; Barista certification or relevant coursework (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a barista, with at least 2 years in supervisory or lead role
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso machines, and brewing methods.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Specialty coffee certifications (e.g., SCA, Barista Guild) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in latte art and beverage presentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Knowledge of coffee sourcing and flavor profiles is a must.
- Ability to work flexible hours/shift, including weekends and public holidays.
