Role Overview
As Head of Advisory for Southeast Asia (SEA), you will help international companies understand the region's opportunities and challenges and provide the insights they need to expand successfully.
Based in Singapore and reporting directly to the Managing Partner of ALTIOS Group, you will play a strategic role in shaping market-entry strategies, guiding investments, and connecting clients with the right local ecosystems.
This is a client-facing and strategic leadership role that combines advisory expertise, regional market knowledge, and cross-border collaboration to position ALTIOS as a trusted partner for growth in Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities :
Advisory and Insights
- Provide market intelligence, strategic advice, and actionable recommendations to companies entering or expanding in SEA.
- Translate complex market, regulatory, and financial information into clear insights for decision-makers.
- Guide clients on investment choices (greenfield, brownfield, partnerships, M&A) tailored to their growth objectives.
Client and Ecosystem Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to international clients exploring SEA opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and institutional stakeholders across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
- Collaborate with government agencies, trade associations, banks, and private equity funds to facilitate client expansion and strengthen ALTIOS' ecosystem.
- Represent ALTIOS in the regional ecosystem, positioning the firm as a thought leader in international expansion.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with ALTIOS' global teams to align strategies and share best practices across regions.
- Work closely with the CFO of Asia Pacific on financial oversight of advisory projects.
- Contribute to ALTIOS' growth strategy by identifying new opportunities and supporting entry into future high-potential markets.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MSc, MA, MBA, PhD etc.) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or international business development.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to distil insights into practical growth strategies.
- Proven track record advising senior executives and guiding companies on international expansion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability to navigate evolving and ambiguous situations.
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage
