Responsible for developing and managing Advanced Analytics partners where required.
Deliver BI&A best practices, including migrating team skills into analytics, and partnering with businesses to deliver value from information.
Know how and when to bring in external partners as more advanced analytics are required.
This role is also responsible for creating a system for prioritizing work across the organization.
Job Description
Direct the development and ongoing evolution of the organization.
Partner with BU stakeholders to ensure that the BI&A strategy, including design of BI&A solutions, effectively enables their business strategy.
Create, promote, and enforce BI&A standards and BI/Data governance model, including ensuring proper governance exists around development of Advanced Analytics (machine learning/AI, etc.) solutions across the organization.
Partner with the BUs to build skill in self-service analytics and help the BUs discover new ways to explore and visualize data.
Lead a team of BI&A professionals responsible for understanding business data, development of data workflows, development of BI reports, BI dashboards, and self-service reporting, in addition to partnering with BU stakeholders to deliver business analytics from this information.
Staff, develop and retain a high performing team of business intelligence and analytics professionals.
Drive increased awareness and understanding of the use cases and benefits of BI&A and advanced analytics across the organization.
Ensure that the BI & A team applies current best practice in the data, reporting and analytics spaces, and that they collaborate with the BUs to aid in the application of these best practices.
Partner with key BU functional areas to understand the most compelling use cases for advanced analytics.
Maintain and manage external partnerships with third parties capable of working with our BUs to implement advanced analytics solutions for identified use cases.
Maintain full documentation for BI & A solutions and related services together with associated communications documents.
Design and lead BI & A project prioritization process, and in conjunction with the respective Managers, ensure that project status is communicated regularly.
Partner with Architecture team to ensure appropriate design of solutions for data management, BI & A tools, and advanced analytics.
Lead and coach the BI&A team to leverage advanced Tableau functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, API, etc.) to create analytics.
Lead and coach the BI&A team to leverage advanced Alteryx knowledge to produce validated, accessible, timely data sources for other Tableau developers to use for their dashboards.
Through the BI&A team and third-party partners, use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, product scheduling, product manufacturing.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related degree.
10+ years of experience in a business or technology field.
5+ years of experience leading a team of professionals in the technology space.
3+ years of experience in a role responsible for data modeling and data visualization (using tools such as Alteryx and Tableau) in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Demonstrated ability to understand and contribute to business strategy, provide consultative business analysis, and leverage technical skills to create insightful, effective BI&A solutions.
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
Familiar with automated data science software tools that leverages multiple models.
Experience using analytics to increase productivity and effectiveness across multiple functional areas.
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills including an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both business and technical teams.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business, Statistics or Computer Science, or technical degree.
Experience applying BI&A solutions to a gaming or non-gaming environment.
Experience with prescriptive and predictive analytics and other advance mathematical models for high-level business analysis.
Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt trained.
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
