With seed funding secured and global expansion on the horizon, we're building a platform where children explore fearlessly, and families/educators guide every step.
We're seeking a visionary Head of Engineering to lead our technical evolution.
Full-time position starts in April 2026 to own our codebase post-vendor handover, build a high-performing team, and scale our compliant EdTech solution for schools worldwide.
However, I'd welcome you for part-time before then for foundational work.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the technical handover from our outsourced vendor: review, refactor, and document the codebase.
Establish best-in-class engineering standards, including CI/CD pipelines, security protocols, and coding guidelines.
Build and lead an internal engineering team.
Collaborate with product and compliance teams to embed COPPA, FERPA, GDPR, and PDPD adherence.
Optimize scalable infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) for global growth.
Support investor due diligence with technical roadmaps and compliance docs.
Expected Deliverables & Timeline:
Until March 2026 (Optional, Part-Time): Focus on foundational planning and implementation while our vendor nears Beta.
First 3 Months Full-Time (April–July 2026): Complete vendor handover, codebase audit, documentation/architecture mapping, hiring plan, bug fixes, and GA launch prep (August 2026).
First 6 Months Full-Time (July–October 2026): Lead GA launch, onboard 2 engineers (frontend/backend), implement monitoring/alerting, and deliver compliance audit logs.
Distributed teams welcome (Vietnam, Singapore, LatAm, EU)—with strong processes for quality control.
What We Offer (Singapore Benchmark):
Base Salary: SGD $180K–$250K (≈ USD $130K–$185K).
Performance Bonus: 10–20%.
Equity: ESOP (Seed-stage, with Series A refresh potential).

Flexible Location: Singapore, or Remote (APAC/EU/US/anywhere you want).
Reports to: Founder, CEO
