The job holder (working in close collaboration with the Pastor-in-Charge and Pastor-Parish Relations & Staff Committee committee) is responsible for overseeing, leading, and managing the overall Human Resources function – from strategy to execution.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in close consultation and collaboration with the leadership team to develop and further strengthen, influence, reinforce and cascade the core values of the organization across key HR touchpoints.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organizational goals.
- Act as a trusted and strategic HR counsel, providing advisory, insights and guidance to leadership and staff.
- Develop, review, and enhance HR policies and practices to align with industry benchmarks and regulations.
- Design, implement, review, and enhance talent acquisition, employee engagement, retention and exit policies, programmes, and practices.
- Oversee performance management practices and help drive leadership development and succession planning conversations with leadership.
- Oversee learning and development needs analysis, training sponsorships and scholarships, budget planning and management.
- Prepare and monitor annual department budget.
- Review and approve monthly payroll and claims.
- Review accuracy of employment-related surveys completed for submission to government agencies.
- Regularly update organization charts.
- Respond to audit enquiries as required.
- Provide back-up cover for HR team member.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by PIC and/or PPRSC Chair.
Qualifications:
- Degree holder with IHRP-Certified Professional Qualification
Relevant Experience and Skillsets:
- At least 7 years of relevant hands-on HR managerial experience; preference will be given to those with experience in a related non-profit/charities industry.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Singapore's employment laws and legislation, and HR best practices.
- Is forward-thinking, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Has a solutions-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve.
- Has the capacity to learn and help others learn.
- Meticulous with attention to details.
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Preference for candidates who have worked in a non-profit sector.
