Our Client is an established and leading Fintech and Payment platform, currently looking for a Head of Onboarding.
Job Description
- Lead the Onboarding team and manage new client onboarding activities.
- Develop and maintain KYC/CDD/EDD procedures in line with MAS regulations and internal policies.
- Review and approve onboarding cases, including high‑risk profiles.
- Manage ongoing due diligence and Periodic Reviews to keep customer data accurate.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Front Office to balance regulations and business needs.
- Ensure quality control, timely escalations, and proper recordkeeping.
- Provide expertise during regulatory inspections, audits, and governance meetings.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
- Mentor team members to build a strong onboarding function.
- Lead ad‑hoc projects such as system upgrades and regulatory changes.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field; AML/Compliance certification (such as CAMS) is preferred.
- At least 7 years of strong Onboarding and KYC, CDD/EDD experience within the Payments, Fintech or Banking Industry.
- Experience leading a sizable onboarding team.
- In-depth knowledge of MAS AML/CFT regulations (PSN01, MAS 626) and FATF standards.
- Proven experience managing high‑risk clients, complex structures, and regulatory escalations.
