Overview
Base pay range
A leading international school in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join its vibrant and supportive team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact within the education sector, working in a multicultural environment that values compassion, integrity, and ingenuity.

As a trusted advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping HR strategies and supporting both staff and leadership to achieve organisational goals.

What you'll do
As a Human Resources Business Partner, Education Sector, you will be instrumental in supporting both strategic objectives and day-to-day operations within a dynamic school setting.

Your role will involve collaborating with diverse stakeholders across various departments to ensure effective recruitment processes, seamless onboarding experiences, and ongoing compliance with local employment laws.

You will provide expert advice on performance management while championing employee wellbeing through thoughtful administration of benefits programmes.

By maintaining meticulous records and supporting audits or regulatory requirements, you will help uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Your ability to build trusting relationships will be essential as you mediate workplace concerns with empathy and tact.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will have opportunities to contribute ideas for process improvements, participate in cross-functional projects that enhance staff engagement, and play an active part in fostering an inclusive culture where every member feels valued.

Manage the full cycle of recruitment activities for assigned sub-schools or departments, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment policies and smooth onboarding experiences for new hires.

Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems and act as custodian of confidential files for designated divisions, upholding data privacy at all times.

Oversee work pass applications and renewals for employees, ensuring strict adherence to Ministry of Manpower regulations and timely processing of all documentation.

Collaborate closely with compliance teams to ensure teacher registrations are completed promptly and support the renewal process for relevant educational licences.

Guide managers and employees through performance management processes such as probationary reviews and regular feedback sessions, promoting a high-performance culture throughout the organisation.

Support the administration of compensation and benefits programmes, including updating policies and standard operating procedures to reflect best practice.

Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees within assigned areas, providing guidance on workplace issues, mediating conflicts sensitively, and conducting thorough investigations when required.

Assist with external audits by preparing necessary documentation and conduct regular reviews of internal HR processes to drive continuous improvement.

Prepare detailed HR reports and metrics to track key indicators, analyse trends, and recommend actionable strategies for enhancing organisational effectiveness.

Contribute actively to HR projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources, building partnerships across the school community to implement initiatives aligned with short- and long-term goals.

What you bring
To excel as a Human Resources Business Partner, your background should include hands-on experience managing end-to-end HR processes within similarly complex environments.

Your approachability combined with discretion ensures that colleagues trust you implicitly when discussing sensitive matters.

You bring finely tuned communication skills—both written and verbal—that enable you to facilitate workshops or present findings persuasively.

Analytical thinking comes naturally; you enjoy delving into data sets to uncover patterns that inform smarter policy decisions.

Project management is another area where you shine: balancing competing priorities while keeping stakeholders informed every step of the way.

Familiarity with Singapore's legal landscape regarding employment is crucial given the regulatory context of this role.

Above all else, your genuine empathy allows you to connect meaningfully with others—whether guiding managers through challenging conversations or supporting staff wellbeing initiatives—making you an invaluable asset in any collaborative team.

At least three years' experience in human resources roles within complex organisations or educational settings is essential for success in this position.

Demonstrated commitment to ethical behaviour with proven ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive information at all times.

Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds as well as external partners or government agencies.

Outstanding presentation, facilitation, and communication abilities that allow you to engage audiences at all levels of the organisation with clarity and inspiration.

Analytical mindset capable of gathering data from multiple sources, interpreting HR metrics accurately, and using insights to inform decision-making or recommend improvements.

Strong project management skills including prioritising tasks efficiently, managing several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore employment laws along with practical understanding of HR practices specific to the education sector is highly desirable.

Proven ability to build positive relationships with leadership teams while offering constructive support during periods of change or challenge within the workplace.

Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration or related field; additional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP/PHR/CIPD are advantageous but not mandatory.

Demonstrates alignment with core values such as integrity, compassion, ingenuity, and courage—qualities that underpin successful collaboration within this unique educational environment.
