Highlight risks, exclusions, and clarifications.

Extract BOQ (Bill of Quantities) from tender drawings.
Calculate material requirements (ducts, pipes, valves, insulation, equipment).
Estimate manpower, tools, and consumables needed.

Cost Estimation
Collect and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations.
Estimate costs for: Materials & equipment
Labour/manpower
Testing & commissioning (T&C)
Overheads, logistics, warranties
Ensure costing aligns with project specifications and standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS codes).
4.
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
Request for quotations (RFQs) from suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate prices and delivery terms.
Maintain a database of standard costs, suppliers, and subcontractors for future bids.
5.
Proposal Support
Prepare detailed costing sheets and summaries for management approval.
Support tender/proposal engineers with accurate cost data.
Participate in value engineering exercises to reduce costs while meeting quality standards.
6.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of cost estimates, supplier quotations, and historical data.
Update cost databases for future tender references.
Prepare cost comparison reports for management.
