My clients are looking to hire an Indirect Procurement Director for their team.
You'll lead the transformation of procurement into a strategic enabler of the company’s success.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a forward-looking procurement strategy that delivers value, compliance, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement:
- Shape and execute a 3 – 5 years procurement strategy aligned with the university’s long-term vision
- Champion digital transformation through the adoption of e-procurement systems and automation tools
- Define and monitor procurement performance through KPIs and executive dashboards
Contract Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of high-value tenders, from specification development to evaluation and award
- Negotiate and manage strategic contracts and service level agreements with critical suppliers
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and ensure timely renewals and performance assessments
Category Management
- Lead comprehensive spend analysis and supplier segmentation to identify strategic savings opportunities
- Develop and implement category strategies across key areas such as IT, facilities, building maintenance, etc.
- Stay informed on market dynamics and supplier innovations to guide category decisions
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing procurement team
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic procurement value
- Conduct training and awareness programs to elevate procurement capabilities across the company
Ideally you would have strong leadership skills.
Solid strategic management and general business skills.
At least 15 -20 years of senior indirect procurement experience, strategic and operational management experience.
