[What the role is]
We are looking for a graduate to join a team which looks into the planning and optimising of Singapore underground space for major infrastructure/utilities network projects.
• Review and contribute to enhancing and building digital processes and analytical “digital” tools in major infrastructure/utilities network alignment planning, consultation, and implementation.
• Review and promote adoption of standards/technologies to support accurate mapping of underground utilities.
• Analyse and formulate standards in CAD drawings and GIS formats for submission in major infrastructure/utilities network project alignment clearance.
• Support the development of IT applications and automation tools to enhance and support established workflows.
• Contribute to the process of enhancing the data accuracy of underground major infrastructure/utilities network mapping.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Collaborate with agencies to operationalise their Site Investigations and as-built best practices for utilities mapping.
[What you will be working on]
By the end of this traineeship, you will have:
- Hands-on experience in working with 2D and 3D data in CAD and GIS formats to support major infrastructure/utilities network project alignment consultation and review.
- Good understanding of the full development life cycle of major infrastructure/utilities network alignment consultation, clearance process and submission standards.
- Real world applications of utilities mapping technologies, techniques, best practices and standards.
- Practical problem-solving skills through supporting real-world system operations and enhancements.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities from engaging with stakeholders from government agencies and the industry.
- Understanding of how digital solutions support public sector operations and strategic objectives in major infrastructure/utilities network planning and implementation.
[What we are looking for]
- Graduated in 2024 to 2025 with a Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Geospatial Science or related disciplines.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, CAD drawing and GIS concepts (familiarity with AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro will be advantageous).
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Good presentation and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
