Key Responsibility
- The Internal Sales Engineer works closely with External Sales members as one of the main contacts for customers regarding product, project & services inquiries.
This role involves managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, ensuring smooth coordination with other departments and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- This role will be based in Singapore, is part of the Sales Department ( Inside Sales Team ) and reports to the Customer Experience Manager.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
Collaborative Sales Approach
- Partner closely with all stakeholders to serve customers effectively and meet team sales targets.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Promote Digital Sales business
Sales Support
- Coordinate with external sales teams to close sales opportunities.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals.
- Work with External Sales to ensure correct pricing, delivery timelines, and terms arrangement with customers.
- Verify customer Purchase Orders, convert quotations into sales orders, and process orders using the SAP system.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Monitor and update customers on order status and delivery schedules.
Cross Department Coordination
- Work with Sales teams, Service, Finance and Supply Chain departments to gather necessary input for quotations.
Basic Technical Support and Problem-Solving
- Understand and interpret technical requirements for products, projects and services.
- Liaise with Application Consultant teams to provide accurate solutions to customer enquiries and challenges.
Customer Service and Problem Resolution
- Deliver exceptional customer service, build strong relationships, resolve problems, and address complaints effectively.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any other tasks required by the Company to support its business strategy.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in any Engineering related discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience as Internal Sales or Project Proposal
- Relevant process automation or related industries experience
- Experience in Instrumentation and Automation/Control Engineering environments (Would be an advantage)
- Relevant Technical knowledge (Would be an advantage)
- SAP / Salesforce Lightning System knowledge (Would be an advantage)
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, and customer-oriented personality
- Systematic and meticulous
- Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm
