Key Accountabilities:
Conduct and critically assess in-house site surveys, ensuring design integrity, technical feasibility, and conformity with client's engineering methodologies.
Rigorously evaluate and justify any deviations or variations from approved codes, standards, and practices, ensuring technical soundness and regulatory alignment.
Review, benchmark, and implement client's amendments to external standards (ISA, IEC, API, NFPA, etc.) to maintain best-in-class engineering quality.
Integrate and align instrumentation designs with mechanical, electrical, process, and control system interfaces.
Anticipate and resolve complex scope ambiguities, ensuring seamless coordination between internal stakeholders, contractors, and third-party entities.
Engage with contracted organizations to resolve advanced technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
Identify schedule deviations and proactively implement corrective actions to safeguard project objectives.
Rigorously assess and provide expert recommendations on contract variations and change proposals, ensuring adherence to established technical and commercial frameworks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Instrumentation Engineering.
Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
