About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced software solutions within our Capital Market IT (CMI) domain.
This role requires strong technical leadership, hands‐on development expertise, and a collaborative mindset to drive innovation and excellence across our engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical studies and solution design, collaborating with infrastructure, big data, and business analysis teams.
Document proposed architectures and develop scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Ensure integration of CI/CD artifacts and automation into all deliverables.
Conduct code reviews and promote best practices, mentoring team members to enhance technical capabilities.
Provide regular updates and technical reporting to project managers and stakeholders.
Monitor and escalate technical risks appropriately to ensure project success.
Research, design, and develop software aligned with user needs and business goals.
Enhance existing software capabilities and lead testing and validation procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and/or software systems.
Take ownership of non‐functional deliverables including performance testing, mocking, monitoring, and quality assurance.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory:
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
At least 5 years of hands‐on experience in Java/J2EE.
Proficient in data ingestion and processing technologies such as Spark Streaming and Apache Spark.
Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, Flume, ActiveMQ, MQSeries, or RabbitMQ.
Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (preferably Hortonworks), including HDFS, HBase, Hive, ORC/Parquet.
Familiarity with build tools (Maven, SBT, Ant), UML, RESTful APIs, Jenkins/TeamCity, SVN/GIT, TDD with JUnit, Jira, and QC.
Preferred:
Experience in solution design using proven patterns and performance tuning in streaming environments.
Exposure to tools like Phoenix, Elasticsearch, Sqoop, and StreamSets.
Basic understanding of finance and investment banking domains.
