What the role is

Project title: Designing, Developing UI/UX, Data Analytics Solutions and Minimal Viable Products (MVP) for MOM-ACE Group
The internship involves designing and developing UI/UX, data analytics solutions, and Minimal Viable Products (MVP) for MOM-ACE Group's digital services.

This includes developing data-driven IT solutions for recognising and rewarding MW usage of FWMOMCare app, implementing analytics-powered primary care plan management, developing UI regression testing tools, managing data sets for ACE Group, and ing large language model AI tools.
The ideal candidate should have a STEM background, demonstrated ability to build software with strong analytical capabilities, and take the initiative to make things happen.
The intern will be exposed to a portfolio of potential initiatives (detailed below), and the breadth and depth can be tailored based on the intern's skills/knowledge and organisational needs.

What you will be working on

Learning Outcome
The intern will gain hands-on experience in both software development and data analytics, including data visualisation, statistical analysis, machine learning applications, and business intelligence, while working on various initiatives.

The specific focus areas will be determined based on the intern's skills and organisational requirements.
Portfolio of Initiatives (intern to select subset/portfolio to concentrate on):
Designing and developing high fidelity UI/UX with integrated analytics capabilities for ACE's potential new digital products and eServices (possibly to deploy as Minimal Viable product), using Figma ) and
Developing data-driven IT solution(s)/Minimal Viable Product(s) for:
A program to recognise, reward, and analyse Migrant Workers' usage patterns for their designated app and recreational centres.

This involves implementing analytics tools and orchestrating relevant eServices (such as Figma, , tools, Zapier, and others).
Regression testing: Developing data-driven automated testing tools for MOM's mobile app(s) and eService(s), incorporating machine learning for test case generation and performance analytics.
Dashboard and Data Tools Enhancement: Design and develop improvements to existing dashboards and data management tools.

This includes implementing automated data processing pipelines, creating interactive visualisations, and building user-friendly interfaces for data exploration.

The focus is on enabling teams to track, analyse, and derive actionable insights from various data sources efficiently and effectively.
Artificial Intelligence and Analytics: Discovering and co-creating use cases to further enhance the application of large language models and analytics tools (e.g., ) in MOM-ACE, including model performance monitoring and continuous improvement systems.

What we are looking for

  • Background in STEM, preferably in Computing Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering
  • Understanding of data analytics, statistical analysis, and machine learning concepts
  • Experience with data visualisation tools and programming languages
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate data insights into actionable solutions
