Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional infrastructure strategies aligned with global IT roadmaps and business priorities.
- Oversee budgets, resources, and infrastructure projects across core markets and international centres.
- Identify optimisation opportunities to drive operational efficiency and cost savings across SCM and non-SCM areas.
- Perform independent monitoring and risk management across infrastructure operations, covering operational, security, and compliance risks.
- Conduct risk reviews, thematic assessments, and track remediation with service owners and SMEs.
- Ensure standardisation of operational processes based on HQ SOPs across regions.
- Drive compliance with group controls, industry regulations, disaster recovery, and high availability practices.
- Lead and mentor in-country infrastructure engineers, promoting continuous improvement and risk ownership.
- Manage end-to-end infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Plan and track project budgets, timelines, and reporting, facilitating PSC and portfolio meetings.
- Engage senior stakeholders and vendors to resolve project risks and ensure alignment.
- Drive test strategy, defect resolution, UAT coordination, and deployment execution.
- Prepare quality assessments, status reports, and executive summaries for leadership.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5-15 years of IT infrastructure management experience, including at least 5 years in the banking/financial sector with regional exposure.
- Proven track record in cost optimisation, performance enhancement, and operational excellence.
- Excellent background in IT risk management, including risk assessment, remediation, and incident response.
- Experience with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), networking, storage, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel (mandatory); Power BI and TensorFlow.
- Solid leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Self-driven, analytical, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to travel regionally when required.
