Job description
Responsibilities
• Manage the organization's network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN)
• Oversee network security policies, firewalls, access controls, and vulnerability management
• Plan, implement, and oversee network upgrades, optimization, and capacity planning
• Manage and conduct regular network and cybersecurity audits, ensuring compliance with policies and standards
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide escalation support for critical incidents
• Provide direct end-user IT support including desktops, connectivity, and access issues
• Deliver on-site support for retail operations, ensuring network stability and availability
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure network services meet business needs
• Oversee vendor relationships, service providers, and contractors for networking and security solutions
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and change management
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT/network staff
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in network administration/engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Relevant certifications strongly preferred, including CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, or equivalent
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, SD-WAN)
• Solid background in network and cybersecurity (firewall policies, intrusion prevention, threat detection, patching, compliance)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking solutions
• Proficiency in network monitoring, performance, and security tools
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work across team and support business operations
