Role Summary
Provide professional, expert-level support and administration of the Microsoft 365 cloud environment, ensuring a secure, reliable, and high-performing IT infrastructure across the company and fleet operations.
Job Duties
Research, design, develop, and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions independently.
Administer and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
Act as the
first point of contact
for issue escalation within the fleet.
Serve as
primary standby helpdesk support
after office hours and on weekends.
Monitor system health; analyze and test systems regularly for optimal performance.
Conduct
annual hardware refresh
for endpoint devices and network equipment for the fleet.
Perform system updates, backups, and restorations as required.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize functionality and user experience.
Handle IT onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and leavers.
Document system configurations, processes, and IT user guides.
Provide high-level troubleshooting support onsite and offsite (including vessels) and coordinate with vendors.
Travel internationally to provide IT support to vessels when vendors cannot resolve issues remotely.
Manage IT procurement and vendor relationships effectively.
Maintain up-to-date IT hardware and software inventory.
Conduct daily, monthly, and annual IT operational checklists.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum
1 year
experience managing and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
At least
2 years
experience as
Level 1 IT Support
in a mid to large enterprise.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Minimum
2 years’ technical experience
in setting up or supporting networks and firewalls for SMEs.
