Responsibilities
Independently research, design, develop, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions for the organization.
Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and performance.
Serve as the primary escalation point for IT issues reported by the fleet.
Provide after-hours and weekend helpdesk support for fleet operations.
Monitor system health and conduct regular reviews, analyses, and performance testing.
Carry out annual hardware refreshes for endpoint devices and network equipment across the fleet.
Perform system updates, backups, and restorations as required.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance system functionality and overall user experience.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and IT user guides.
Deliver high-level technical support, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues both onsite and offshore (including onboard vessels).
Travel internationally when necessary to provide direct IT support for vessels when vendor assistance is unavailable.
Act as the IT procurement officer, managing vendor relationships and ensuring effective vendor performance.
Maintain up-to-date hardware and software inventory records.
Perform daily, monthly, and annual IT operational checklists.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience managing and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
At least 2 years of experience providing Level 1 IT support in a mid to large-scale enterprise.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Minimally 2 years of hands‐on experience in setting up or supporting network and firewall systems for SMEs.
