Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical support for computers, printers, network devices, and smart systems within the site.
Install, configure, and maintain workstations and essential business software (Windows and open-source environments).
Perform routine troubleshooting for hardware, network, and connectivity issues.
Maintain system uptime, file sharing, and basic data backup processes.
Keep IT assets, cabling, and documentation well-organised and up to date.
Support CCTV, access control, and smart/IoT devices when required.
Work closely with the IT Manager to implement improvements, adopt open technologies, and streamline operations.
Requirements
Min Higher Nitec in IT Systems and Network.
Basic knowledge of PC hardware, networking, and common operating systems.
Prior experience in IT support or system setup preferred.
Comfortable learning new tools and platforms (e.g. LibreOffice, Linux, open-source utilities).
Strong problem-solving attitude — able to investigate, test, and learn independently.
Organised and methodical, keeps records and follows process documentation.
Communicates clearly and can explain issues in plain language to non-technical users.
