Job Overview
We seek a motivated Junior Maintenance Support Engineer to provide foundational technical support for end-user computing, IoT devices, and infrastructure maintenance.
This entry-level role includes after-hours on-call rotations (1-2x/month) under supervision.
You’ll gain hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, deploying patches, and supporting CCTV/IoT systems while receiving structured training for career growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Hardware Support (Assisted):
End-user devices (laptops, printers, mobile devices)
Basic IoT equipment (sensors, cameras, cabling)
Perform component replacements (RAM, HDD, power supplies) under guidance.
Software & User Support:
Install OS/applications (Windows/macOS), configure email clients & user accounts.
Troubleshoot common software issues (Office 365, VPN, antivirus).
Support basic surveillance system operations (NVR reboots, camera alignment).
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct scheduled device health checks (disk space, updates, backups).
Update asset inventories & maintenance logs.
Test/replace consumables (sensor batteries, camera lenses).
Emergency Response (Supervised):
Shadow senior engineers during after-hours critical incidents.
Document issues in ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
Requirements
Education:
ITE/Diploma in IT, Electronics, or related field (Fresh graduates welcome).
Experience:
0-1 year in technical support
Basic familiarity with:
Windows OS troubleshooting
PC/laptop hardware components
Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, Wi-Fi)
Technical Exposure (Preferred):
IoT concepts (sensor types, data flow)
Mobile device management (Android/iOS)
Remote support tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk)
Certifications (Bonus):
CompTIA ITF+/A+, Microsoft Fundamentals
Work Requirements:
Willingness for occasional supervised after-hours support.
Ability to lift equipment.
Soft Skills:
Eagerness to learn IoT/enterprise systems.
Clear communication for user support.
Detail-oriented documentation.
