Key Responsibilities:
- Working in the Trade Operations Department and responsible for the timely preparation of import and export documentation in compliance with the specific requirements of each shipment and/or the associated Letters of Credit.
- Ensure the timely preparation of sales & purchase contracts, cargo-related documents, required for the importation of goods into the destination country.
- Manage daily communication with suppliers, customers, shipping agents, banks, and other relevant parties to address documentation requirements for import & cross-border shipments, both on the purchase and sales sides.
- Oversee the complete operational flow of shipments, documentation, letter of credit negotiations, vessel tracking for arrival, claims & settlements.
- Coordinate invoicing and invoice processing for both incoming and outgoing shipments, monitor the payments to suppliers and from the buyers.
- Weekly reporting & MIS preparation
- Serve as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire shipping and documentation process.
Requirements:
- A university degree or a diploma, preferably in Logistics, International Trade, or a related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Should be a team player, Detail-oriented, highly organized, and results-driven, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
- Able to converse and communicate in Mandarin language is a must.
- Candidate should be either a Singaporean / Singapore Permanent Resident.
