Overview
We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Application Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for mission-critical banking applications.
The role demands strong Java and SQL expertise, a deep understanding of production environments, and the ability to manage incidents with precision and urgency.
You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure application stability, compliance, and performance.
Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve complex production issues across banking applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes, with clear documentation and audit traceability.
Collaborate with development teams to deploy enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes in accordance with change management protocols.
Monitor application performance and conduct proactive tuning using Java and SQL, ensuring compliance with MAS and internal SLAs.
Support incident response, release management, and post-deployment validation, including coordination with business stakeholders and regulatory reporting teams.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in application support or software engineering, with strong proficiency in Java and SQL.
Proven track record in supporting banking applications in a regulated production environment.
Prior experience working as Java developer with good knowledge in Spring, Hibernate
Good working knowledge with RDBMS
Familiarity with core banking systems, payment platforms, or regulatory reporting tools is highly desirable.
Experience with ITIL processes and tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business users, as well as development team
