Overview
The Lab Technician supports the Engineer and Manager in technical service tasks, primarily in rubber material testing, equipment troubleshooting, and documentation updates.
This hands‑on role is essential for maintaining testing accuracy, equipment performance, and lab organization.
Material & Machine Handling
- Prepare and handle rubber materials for testing
- Set up and operate testing machines
Rubber Testing & Analysis
- Perform weighing, mixing, and compounding of rubber materials
- Conduct rubber property evaluations following SOPs
Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure lab equipment is well‑maintained and operational
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform housekeeping
Inventory Management
- Maintain and update inventory records for lab materials
Compliance & Safety
- Follow safety protocols and workplace SOPs
- Perform inspections and housekeeping after each task
Requirements
- Minimum O‑Level or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a rubber testing lab
- Basic computer literacy
- Comfortable with operating lab and mechanical equipment
- Willing to work in a lab setting
- Hands‑on, independent, and self‑disciplined
