Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Drive and coordinate the impactful execution of SIM Impact Fund (internal stakeholders) programmes and initiatives, reporting to Director, SIM Impact Fund and coordinating with internal stakeholders (SIM departments/teams) in ensuring that resources are effectively allocated and tracked to create meaningful, measurable and sustained impact and social change as directed by SIMGL BODs.

Manage and coordinate the impactful execution of SIM People Development Fund (external stakeholders) programmes and initiatives, reporting to SIMPDF Executive Director and coordinating with external stakeholders in ensuring resources are effectively allocated to create meaningful, measurable and sustained impact and social change as directed by SIMPDF BODs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fund Management & Coordination: Manage the annual budget for the SIM Impact Fund and SIMPDF and their corresponding programmes/initiatives, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources.

    Monitor the allocation of funds, ensuring disbursement according to approved budgets and in line with programme objectives.

    Track impact and report on key metrics of all funded initiatives.

  2. Programme Execution: Oversee initiatives to ensure they are implemented smoothly, funds disbursed on schedule and within budget with the relevant stakeholders.

    Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, tracking key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.

    Work closely with internal (SIM Impact Fund) and external (SIMPDF) stakeholders to ensure programmes are carried out as agreed and desired outcomes are met.

  3. Analysis & Reporting of Data: Collect and analyse data to track the progress and outcomes of programmes/initiatives, ensuring that all activities meet set objectives.

    Prepare detailed operational reports, including status updates, financial summaries, and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders.

  4. Stakeholder Coordination: Work with internal stakeholders (departments/teams disbursing funds) and external stakeholders (SIMPDF's partners, government agencies, educational institutions, beneficiaries, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.

    Coordinate regular check-ins and updates/reports with initiative owners to ensure projects are progressing as planned and outcomes tracked
  5. Communication & Process Management: Develop standardized processes and procedures for funding administration, project tracking, and communication to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    Regularly assess the operational aspects of initiatives and recommend adjustments for improved outcomes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Academic Education/Experience/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, nonprofit management (preferred but not a must), business processes and administration, social sciences or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in in philanthropy, nonprofit management (preferred but not a must) or related fields, with demonstrated experience on programme and process management.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and comfortable dealing with numbers.

  • Proficient in using project management tools, databases, Microsoft Office Suite and presentation programmes/apps.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and work with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate programmess and initiatives based on data.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Strong understanding of the philanthropic landscape, including grant-making processes, and social impact measurement (preferred but not a must).

  • Knowledge of financial management and budgeting within the context of grant-making and philanthropy (preferred but not a must).
