Creating and refining thermal models based on component specifications, operating conditions, and environmental factors.
Analyzing simulation results to identify potential thermal issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Validation and Characterization:
Developing and executing thermal validation tests to verify simulation accuracy and assess thermal performance under different operating conditions.
Characterizing the thermal behavior of optical transceivers, including temperature rise, thermal gradients, and thermal resistance.
Documenting test results and comparing them with simulation predictions to refine models and design parameters.
Collaboration and Optimization:
Working closely with design and manufacturing teams to integrate thermal considerations into the design process.
Identifying and implementing thermal management solutions, such as heat sinks, thermal interfaces, or cooling technologies.
Optimizing the thermal performance of optical transceivers to meet design specifications and operational requirements.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Education & Experience Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and test engineers.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve thermal issues in optical transceiver designs.
