The Opportunity
The prime responsibility of this new role is to design and structure automated and manual test plans and test cases for the insurance value chain along with conducting performance testing, API testing, UI testing for our digital platform.
You will be part of the key initiatives to the development of the future growth and discovermarket’s success.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as Lead QA Engineer will include:
• Review business requirements, specifications and technical design through the user stories to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured automated and manual test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Be responsible for identifying bugs and communicating their business impact to help decision making by the Product Management and Engineering teams
• Design, develop test automation framework and execute automation scripts using Katalon Studio
• Perform API testing
• Perform thorough regression testing, smoke testing
• Conduct performance testing to ensure system response times, system scalability
• Debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and document the findings to help the development team for quick resolution
• Stay up-to-date on new testing tools and test strategies
General
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies (product backlog grooming, sprint planning and estimation, daily standups, showcases, retros)
• Comply with company procedures and processes
• Any other roles and responsibilities assigned
Requirements: What makes you stand out
Essential:
• At least 8 years experience in QA domain with at least 2 years as QA lead
• Insurance domain knowledge
• Exposure to agile practices of product design & requirements engineering (epics, stories,acceptance criteria)
• Deep understanding of the product at the implementation level, should be able to analyze logs and API responses in the Micro-Service integration level
• Strong analytical skills (insurance products, technology, competitive intelligence, …)
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal to internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to decompose complex issues, find solutions and summarise
• Manage and work autonomously on projects
