Job Description

As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Electronic Trading Service, you will hold a leadership role in your team, demonstrate strong knowledge across multiple technical domains, and advise others on technical and business issues.
You will lead resiliency design reviews, break down complex problems, act as a technical lead for medium to large products, and mentor engineers.
Responsibilities
Champion site reliability culture and practices, exerting technical influence within your team.
Lead initiatives to improve application and platform reliability using data-driven analytics.
Collaborate to establish service level indicators and objectives with stakeholders.
Apply deep technical expertise to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Act as the main contact during major incidents, resolving issues swiftly to prevent financial losses.
Share knowledge via internal forums and communities.
Monitor alerts specific to Electronic Trading and interface with global exchanges, brokers, and vendors.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
8+ years of applied experience in infrastructure disciplines, with formal training or certifications.
Deep knowledge in infrastructure areas like hardware, networking, automation, resilience, or performance.
Experience developing network solutions for low latency, high reliability trading environments.
Proficiency in network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and load balancing (including F5 BIG-IP).
Experience with automation/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Preferred Skills
Deep understanding of network design, implementation, and maintenance.
Proficiency with Cisco, Arista EOS, network protocols, and automation tools.
Knowledge of network architecture components, routing protocols, and latency monitoring tools.
