RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and participate in an in-house engineering squad to deliver high-quality solutions for a government cloud platform.
Design, develop, and maintain APIs, backend automation, and cloud-based solutions using Node.js and Python.
Guide and mentor development communities in building and deploying on cloud environments.
Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, contributing to automation, scalability, availability, and resiliency.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab, Atlassian suite, and terraform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement large-scale cloud automation and landing zones across multiple cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ensure platform security and compliance in line with government standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years in backend/API development and integration using Node.js and Python.
Proven track record in leading small engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure deployment and automation.
Practitioner in Agile development, secure pipelines, and deployment automation.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Policies as Code, and Git.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of code security practices and open-source tools in relevant domains.
Passionate about automation and DevOps culture.
