Responsibilities:
Translate global sustainability developments and regional trends into business-relevant insights that support the Group's long-term vision and well-being mandate.
Advise on emerging sustainability risks and opportunities and ensure integration into group-level planning and positioning.
Maintain a forward-looking, impact-focused approach that evolves with stakeholder expectations, regulatory shifts, and innovation.
Maintain sustainability governance frameworks, internal policies, and reporting structures in alignment with global standards (e.g. GRI, ISSB, SBTi, IFC PS, GIIN, etc.) and local regulatory requirements.
Support the sustainability reporting process, working closely with relevant departments to collect, analyse, and articulate sustainability performance and disclosures.
Support the group sustainability council and conduct meetings once every 2 months to promote sustainability awareness and monitoring of projects' performance.
Perform periodic internal reviews and improvement cycles to ensure sustainability metrics are actionable, transparent, and decision-enabling.
Review and approve investment team's ESG downsides and impact upsides across due diligence and portfolio review.
Guide sustainability integration into new business ventures and innovation projects, particularly those related to green or regenerative models.
Align sustainability priorities with the Group's strategic direction, without duplication of brand or marketing functions.
Cultivate high-impact partnerships with regulators, industrial experts, and regional and global institutions.
Represent the Group in sustainability forums and regulatory dialogues to build visibility and credibility.
Engage with philanthropic, academic, and civic partners to drive joint initiatives and knowledge exchange.
Build sustainability literacy across the Group through internal engagement, capacity-building programs such as CSR initiatives, and thought leadership.
Act as an internal advisor to functions implementing sustainability-related workstreams such as Restore Nature and Wellbeing and EESG Alliance (WEGA).
Promote a mindset of conscious leadership and collective responsibility through clear sustainability narratives and values alignment.
Contribute to shaping the culture around long-termism, stewardship, and ethical growth
Job Requirement:
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or impact strategy roles, ideally with experience across both business and investment environments in Asia.
Familiarity with global sustainability frameworks (e.g. GRI, ISSB, SBTi, IFC PS, GIIN, etc.) and experience implementing governance or reporting structures.
Strong cross-functional collaboration experience, particularly with investments, strategy, or transformation teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead sustainability initiatives independently while aligning with broader business or brand direction.
Prior exposure to sectors such as logistics, maritime, energy transition, or purpose-led investment is beneficial.
Soft Skills:
Proficient in English; Mandarin is advantageous for regional engagement.
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external audiences.
Capable of articulating sustainability in strategic, operational, and brand-aligned language.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in a matrixed and evolving organizational environment.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, or related disciplines.
Certifications in ESG, sustainability reporting, or climate governance are a plus.
