(What the role is)
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Aerospace Engineering (Avonics) in the School of Engineering.
(What you will be working on)
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop, deliver and assess avionics-related adult learning courses and diploma modules
- Design and deliver modules aligned with industry needs and focused on practical training
- Monitor and guide student progress and learning outcomes in modules and projects
- Build and maintain industry partnerships, to identify and spearhead new opportunities and collaboration with industry
- Support course management team in curriculum review, development and other administrative tasks
- Support student development in the area of education, including serving as advisor for students and leading overseas trips
- Participate in pedagogical training, and keep updated with industry developments and trends
- Work on industry or consultancy project to stay relevant in your profession.
(What we are looking for)
- Degree in Aerospace/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with avionics testing equipment and procedures
- Strong knowledge of avionics or aerospace electrical systems
- Passionate about education and possess strong interest in nurturing, teaching, mentoring and interacting with students.
- Experience in training/mentoring would be an advantage.
- CAAS B2 licence would be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team.
