Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them and molding their characters.

There will be opportunities to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses as well as be involved in consultancy and other applied research projects.

Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job too.

Successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills.



Lecturer (Facilities Management)

The appointee must be competent to teach diploma and higher levels in the following key areas of Facilities Management:
• Safety Health & Security
• Strategic Asset Enhancement
• Drawing & Visualization
• Data Analytics
• Smart Facilities Management
• Digital Twin and BIM Model Application
• Maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services
• Energy Management and Audit
• Sustainability & Environmental Management
• Procurement & Contract Management

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities: -

- Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials and mentoring of students

- Develop and maintain new or existing teaching curriculum and learning materials for modules stated above

- Deploy effective pedagogy to facilitate learning

- Undertake projects or consultancy work with both internal and external stakeholders, especially in the areas of Smart Facilities Management

[What we are looking for]

Requirements: -

- Relevant qualifications in related Built Environment disciplines

- Relevant work experience in Facilities Management, preferably with experience in the planning of preventive, routine, and predictive maintenance of building systems.

- Have experience and in-depth knowledge in building systems integration and optimisation and digital technologies/smart solutions for facilities management.

- Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring students

- Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team

- People-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills

- Candidates with the following will have an added advantage:

  • Registered workplace safety and health officer
  • Certified Green Mark Professional (GMP)
  • Certified Fire Safety Manager

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
