Job Description – Licensed Electrical Worker (Electrician Licence)
The Licensed Electrician is authorised under the Energy Market Authority (EMA) to carry out, endorse, and take responsibility for electrical installation, operation, and maintenance works up to 1,000 volts (Low Voltage).
This role ensures safe execution of electrical works in compliance with statutory regulations, codes of practice, and workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
To assist on the safety compliance on installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of low-voltage (≤1 kV) electrical systems (e.g., wiring, distribution boards, lighting, power outlets, earthing, small generators, and solar PV up to LV).
Regulatory Compliance and inspection.
Endorse and submit periodic inspection/test certificates for Electrical tools for company.
Safety & Risk Management
Implement Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work procedures for LV electrical maintenance works.
Supervision & Coordination
Supervise electricians and contractors performing electrical work
