Job description

The Licensed Electrician is authorised under the Energy Market Authority (EMA) to carry out, endorse, and take responsibility for electrical installation, operation, and maintenance works up to 1,000 volts (Low Voltage).

This role ensures safe execution of electrical works in compliance with statutory regulations, codes of practice, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Maintenance
  • To assist on the safety compliance on installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of low-voltage (≤1 kV) electrical systems (e.g., wiring, distribution boards, lighting, power outlets, earthing, small generators, and solar PV up to LV).

  • To assist Operations and Maintenance Team to troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to restore safe operation.

  • Regulatory Compliance and inspection.

  • Endorse and submit periodic inspection/test certificates for Electrical tools for company.

  • Ensure all works comply with the Electricity Act, EMA licensing conditions, and Singapore Standards (SS, CP codes).

  • Safety & Risk Management
  • Implement Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work procedures for LV electrical maintenance works.

  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and electrical safety codes.

  • Supervision & Coordination
  • Supervise electricians and contractors performing electrical work
  • Coordinate with clients, facility managers, and authorities on LV electrical works.

Requirements

  • Licensed Electrical Worker (Electrician Licence) issued by EMA Singapore.

  • NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

  • Good knowledge of LV distribution systems, Singapore Standards (SS638, CP5, etc.), and WSH safety requirements.

  • At least 3–5 years of practical experience in electrical installation and maintenance.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and safety awareness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3, $4,500.00 per month
