System Engineer is a professional responsible for managing and maintaining the Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies within an organization.
Their primary role is to ensure the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux: installation, patching, upgrades, services (HTTP, NFS, LDAP, cron, etc.)
- Automate baseline installs and updates; manage services at boot-level, networking, users/groups, disk volumes (LVM, dm‑multipath), SELinux/PAM
- Monitor, tune, backup, and proactively fix performance issues
- Create and run Shell/perl/awk scripts for automation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with peer teams and infrastructure stakeholders across business units
- Provide level‑3 support for major incidents, and participate in rollout of new services
Requirements:
- At least 5years of working experience in administering Linuxsystems.
- Min Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
- Level 3 certified ontology: RHCSA minimum; RHCE preferred
