Job Description – Logistics Executive
Role Summary
The Logistics Executive is responsible for managing the full spectrum of logistics operations, including freight coordination, goods dispatch, documentation, warehousing, and inventory management.
The role requires close collaboration with the Stores Executive to effectively divide and complete daily operational tasks.
The Logistics Executive will also interact regularly with internal teams (Sales & Support) and external freight partners to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and compliant delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Transportation Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and courier companies.
- Track shipments and resolve issues related to delays or damages.
2.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Coordinate with warehouse team for storage optimization and handling.
3.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure proper packing, labelling, and documentation.
4.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare shipping documents (CIPL, invoices, Delivery Orders, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to customs regulations and statutory requirements.
5.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain relationships with freight and logistics partners.
- Negotiate rates and service terms to optimize costs.
6.
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks in logistics workflows and suggest improvements.
- Implement cost-saving measures and enhance efficiency.
7.
Reporting
- Generate logistics performance reports (delivery times, costs, stock accuracy).
- Analyse data to support operational decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics/supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with logistics software/ERP (Zoho preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures and Incoterms.
- Experience with customs clearance processes.
- Understanding of lean logistics and supply chain optimization.
- Exposure to telecommunication equipment handling is a plus advantage.
Other Details
- Salary Range: SGD 3,000 – SGD 3,500 per month
