We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee import logistics and shipment coordination.
You'll manage shipment planning, streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive cost efficiencies to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination & Documentation
- Liaise with overseas agents for import shipment bookings and arrangements.
- Strategically consolidate multiple POs to optimize container utilization and reduce logistics costs.
- Review and submit all necessary documentation (Eg: commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) to facilitate smooth shipment releases.
- Coordinate with local freight forwarders for trucking containers from port to warehouse.
Warehouse & Receiving Operations
- Oversee container unloading at the warehouse, ensuring safe handling, accurate inspections, and proper verification against CIPL.
- Identify and document any discrepancies during receiving and promptly escalate them to relevant teams.
- Perform receiving in the warehouse management system, assign correct storage locations, and manage accurate putaway processes.
Cost Control & Performance Monitoring
- Verify freight bills against shipping data to ensure billing accuracy.
- Track key metrics such as shipment timelines, customs clearance cycle times, receiving accuracy, and putaway efficiency.
- Provide weekly performance updates and analysis to management.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, customs procedures, and company SOPs.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of import/export documentation requirements, including HS codes, customs classification, declarations, and letters of credit (LC).
- Continuously improve logistics and warehouse processes by streamlining workflows, reducing lead times, and optimizing costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth logistics operations and effective problem resolution.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving in dynamic environments.
- Ability to multitask effectively and meet tight deadlines.
