What you'll be doing?

• Strategic Maintenance Leadership: Develop comprehensive maintenance strategies aligned with Vopak Standards, maintenance policies, industry best practices, and local statutory compliance requirements to ensure optimal asset performance and operational continuity.
  
  
• Asset Management Excellence: Maintain sophisticated asset data management processes through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) including Infor ME2, EAM, Microsoft Project, and PTB while ensuring effective engineering documentation control processes.
  
  
• Operations & Team Leadership: Direct and lead the maintenance department in overall installation, maintenance, and repairs of all terminal assets, ensuring business continuity and maintaining the highest safety standards for all terminal personnel.
  
  
• System Implementation & Management: Develop and implement effective maintenance management systems based on industry best practices and standards while managing maintenance contractors and service providers to ensure efficient execution within planned resources.
  
  
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive and sustain continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and quality of maintenance processes while ensuring departmental planning and scheduling programs align with operations objectives for maximum equipment uptime.
  
  
• Preventive Maintenance Programs: Establish comprehensive preventive maintenance programs, develop procedures, analyze performance reports, generate follow-up actions, and maintain accurate system records to audit service performance effectively.
  
  
• Asset Integrity Management: Drive and manage asset integrity initiatives to prevent inspection backlogs for pipelines, tanks, structures, and safety-critical equipment while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  
  
• Strategic Business Planning: Contribute to annual and long-term business plan development, forecast performance against key indicators, develop business cases for new projects, and estimate financial and resource requirements for performance targets.
  
  
• Resource & Budget Management: Manage department resources including maintenance activity prioritization, manpower assignments, and budget allocation while supporting terminal operations and ad hoc company projects and activities.
  
  
• Safety & Environmental Leadership: Monitor and ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, health, environment, and loss prevention policies while driving SHE standards and proactive safety culture throughout the terminal operations.
  
  
• Project Management Excellence: Lead maintenance engineers in CAPEX project management and commercial inquiries, developing technical solutions, engineering details, schedules, and cost estimations for terminal upgrades and improvement projects.
  
  
• People Development & Training: Focus on organizational development through people development initiatives, training recommendations, competency assurance, and fostering positive team dynamics within and across functional areas.
  
  

Who are they looking for?

• Engineering Experience: Professionals with 6-9 years of comprehensive engineering experience and background, demonstrating progressive responsibility and technical expertise in industrial maintenance and operations environments.
  
  
• Educational Foundation: Candidates with Diploma or Degree in Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related fields that provide strong technical foundation for maintenance management responsibilities.
  
  
• Strategic Planning Skills: Excellent planning, project management, and tactical conceptualization abilities with proven track record of developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and operational improvements.
  
  
• Analytical Expertise: Strong data analysis acumen with demonstrated ability to transform findings into actionable opportunities for improvement, supporting evidence-based decision-making and performance optimization.
  
  
• Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance operations, safety protocols, and product knowledge combined with understanding of safety, health, and environmental practices in industrial settings.
  
  
• Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with ability to manage conflict effectively and amicably while arriving at balanced outcomes that support organizational objectives.
  
  
• Project Management Capabilities: Strong project management skills combined with positive stakeholder management capabilities and excellent communication abilities across all organizational levels and external partners.
  
  
• Dynamic Professional Attitude: Individuals with dynamism and genuine desire to work in intense and demanding environments while maintaining high performance standards and professional excellence.
  
  
• Safety Standards Expertise: Strong knowledge of Safety Standards in Maintenance and Reliability including Singapore Safety standards and Industrial standards such as APIs and SS requirements for regulatory compliance.
  
  
• Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of Boiler Operations would be advantageous for understanding complex industrial systems and specialized maintenance requirements in terminal operations.
