RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess and evaluate operational risks that the business face in its operations.
- Assist business owner to identify, assess, document, manage and monitor their risks, controls and mitigating actions, where applicable and ensuring adherence to company’s risk management frameworks.
- Conduct periodic review of risk limitation and control strategies as to reflect operational risk profile accordingly using appropriate strategies.
- Evaluate and ensure consistent alignment between risk appetite and overall mission statement and business objectives to meet obligations to stakeholders.
- Review and implement operational risk frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Review of the company’s risk profile periodically with the implementation self-assessment of risks and controls.
- Work with business units to complete company-wide operational risk management deliverables including Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Incident Management and Reporting, Third Party Risk Management, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) within set timeline.
- Provide risk oversight by reviewing assessments from a risk perspective, and elevate issues identified.
- Develop programme to enhance corporate risk culture.
- Prepare and conduct various operational risk management related trainings and awareness sessions / communications to promote stronger risk awareness and culture.
- Preparation and consolidation of reports for Board and Management reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management and equivalent
- Min 4 years of relevant experience in the Operational Risk Management domain
- Familiar with industry recognized risk framework
- Familiar with MAS requirements on risk management
- Experienced in dealing with internal and external auditors
- Good understanding of insurance business and operations
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage relationships with cross functional units.
