What The Role Is
The work of the Resilience and Engagement Division (RED) centres on strengthening social solidarity and commitment to Singapore.
We do this through three pillars of work: fostering a strong and inclusive sense of national identity; helping newcomers integrate into Singapore and appreciate what it means to be part of Singapore; and promoting a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy.
The SG Cares Office in RED develops policies and enablers to promote and strengthen volunteerism and philanthropy in Singapore.
What You Will Be Working On
Your role in the Policy and Planning team of the SG Cares Office includes the following functions.
- Strategic Planning & Coordination: You will shape the agenda to build alignment across internal and external stakeholders on volunteerism and philanthropy initiatives.
- Programme Development & Implementation: You will work closely with partners within and outside Government to develop, implement and assess the progress of programmes to grow volunteerism and philanthropy.
This will include developing digital platforms to reduce the barriers and frictions to volunteering and donating.

- Experiences
- Relevant working experience in a role that involves policy or programme development is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in designing engagements, stakeholder engagement and cultivation in the social sector is an advantage.

- Works well within and across teams by building rapport and trust with others.
- Possess a bias for action and a drive to effect change, solve problems, and see tasks through to completion.
