This role is a key member of the AWX Finance team.
Role and Responsibilities
As a senior analyst in the Finance & Strategy team, you will be responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis function across AWX globally.
Assist in providing strategic financial insights, analyzing business performance, and contributing to decision‐making processes.
Support quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency to achieve Airwallex’s short & long‐term goals.
Maintain and update existing reports, models and dashboards for regular financial reporting to stakeholders.
Assist in analyzing KPIs and financial data, providing insights and reports on areas of concern to business partners.
Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct in‐depth financial analysis to manage costs, identify optimization opportunities, and evaluate division profitability.
Support ongoing enhancement of AWX management reporting system.
Collaborate with cross‐functional finance teams on finance‐wide projects and contribute to process improvement opportunities across Finance.
What You Will Bring
4‐7 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent advanced finance qualification preferred.
Sound knowledge of financial analysis and planning, especially in budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, accounting principles and developing financial models.
Prior experience or understanding of financial services and fintech businesses is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, analytical in nature, with ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear insights.
Proficiency with G‐Suite, Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools; experience with SQL, data visualization tools, financial software and management reporting systems will be advantageous.
Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement within the Finance & Strategy function.
Self‐motivated and entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
