Role Overview
We are seeking a
Manager, Insights & Analytics
to join the Regional Strategy team (based in Singapore) to develop our data-based projects and capabilities.
This role works across business units: marketing, commercial, insight and analytics to provide actionable information and insights that feed into strategy, operation, and promote revenue optimization.
Responsibilities
Perform analysis on large sets of structured commercial data on a daily basis, to identify actionable recommendations for the business and for artists.
SQL skills are essential – experience with big, transaction level data and writing well-structured, performant SQL using advanced techniques (e.g. Window Functions where appropriate).
Take broad business questions, develop engaging briefs, and translate them into a clearly structured approach.
Drive projects from start to finish: define the data needed, conduct the analysis and come up with conclusive answers and specific strategic recommendations.
Develop new ways to look at data, creating new frameworks of data analysis and interpretation for the business; innovate on an ongoing basis.
Apply contextual knowledge about artists and the music industry in data analysis and interpretation.
Understand and communicate the implications of changes in the music landscape in data interpretation.
Work closely with the Global Insights and Analytics team to stay up-to-date and involved with data analysis initiatives across the business.
Consolidate and scale analysis at the local level and coordinate efforts with a global-level approach.
Qualifications
At least 6+ years of experience in a similar data analyst/strategist role, preferably in an entertainment/tech company.
Experience understanding media effectiveness and driving analysis with marketing and digital agencies is preferred.
Proven track record of using data to drive recommendations; extensive hands-on experience with large datasets.
Ability to explain complex topics in simple terms and translate numerical findings into recommendations.
Self-starter who excels in a lean, fast-paced organization requiring continuous innovation.
Exceptional visualization skills using DOMO, Tableau or other relevant tools.
SQL skills are essential.
Experience with hands-on statistical modeling (R, Python).
