Manager, Internship Job Opening In Singapore Highway Strip Pioneer – Now Hiring Nanyang Technological University


Job description

Work-Integrated Education (WIE) is an integrated unit of the Career & Attachment Office (CAO) where this unit is responsible for all work-integrated education programmes such as internships, project-based curriculum and MOE mandated work-study degree programmes for all NTU undergraduate students.

Our key success indicator is derived from successful placement of students to suitable internship and through internship the success rate where students can convert an internship into full time employment position in the company of their internship.

We are seeking to hire an independent and experienced Manager to manage assigned credit-bearing internship programmes which include the Work-Study Degree Programme for eligible students in NTU.

Programme Operations and Service Management

  1. Collaborate with the schools in the academic development of work-integrated education programmes from the perspective of opportunity sourcing and placement support.

  2. Work closely with the schools and other career services support to ensure that students who are enrolled for internship programmes are adequately supported and placed to appropriate internship opportunities.

  3. Manage entire work processes and monitor performance.

  4. Take the initiative and take the lead to identify and pre-emptively address operational issues.

  5. Resolve internship related issues arising from either students and/or internship organization.

  6. Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to improve processing outcome.

  7. Provide first-line student coaching support as the situation requires.

Accounts Management and Stakeholders Management

  1. Manage relationship with relevant internship partner organizations to ensure supply of good opportunities with full-time employment potentials.

  2. Develop close working relationship with all relevant stakeholders both externally and internally to positively impact on the programmes and their expected outcome.

  3. Explore and leverage on the use of innovation to optimize student's learning and employability outcome.

Performance Reporting

  1. Develop and manage programme performance reporting for performance tracking.

  2. Manage cross-functional collaboration to enhance performance outcome.

Innovation and Improvements

  1. Develop insights on programme performances to improve on the collective work environment and performance outcome.

  2. Contribute innovative including maximizing use of technology to improve overall performance and outcome.

  3. Champion changes to systems and processes.

Job Requirements:

  1. At least 8 years of working experiences in internship/training management and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies environment.

  2. Prior experience in managing projects within a team, and/or across different teams in an organization.

  3. Experience in providing career coaching and/or consultation support would be advantageous.

  4. Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education highly advantageous.

    A good understanding in the areas of business development, customer services management, business operations and use of data to support decision making.

  5. Able to work with diverse groups of stakeholders.

  6. A proficient written and oral communicator.

  7. Have a keen eye for details.
