About Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA):
Leading voice for in-house counsel (IHC) in Singapore
Poised to become the national association for IHC, providing a platform for professional development, networking & advocacy
The Manager, Marketing and Communications, IT will be responsible for driving strategic marketing initiatives, enhancing SCCA’s visibility, and leading communication efforts.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical thinker with a passion for storytelling, digital engagement, and content management.


Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), this position will develop and execute integrated marketing and communication campaign strategies to support SCCA’s goals and other tasks as directed by the ED.


Key Responsibilities:
Website & Media Channels
Support in Strategic Oversight:
Assist the Director in developing and implementing the strategic vision for the organisation's website and media channels.


Ensure all online platforms are aligned with the organisation's branding, goals, and target audience, under the Director's guidance.


Content Management Support:
Support the Director in creating, curating, and managing content across all media channels.


Ensure the website and media channels are regularly updated with engaging and relevant content.


User Experience and Design Assistance:
Aid the Director in ensuring the website is user-friendly, accessible, and visually appealing.


Implement best practices in web design and user experience to enhance visitor engagement, as directed by the Director.


Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and analyse the performance of the website and media channels.


Provide insights to the Director to inform and improve content strategy and user engagement.


Digital Media Content
Content Strategy Support:
Assist the Director in developing a comprehensive digital media content strategy.


Ensure content aligns with the organisation's objectives and resonates with the target audience.


Content Creation and Curation:
Aid in the creation and curation of high-quality digital content, including videos, graphics, blogs, and social media posts.


Ensure content is optimised for various digital platforms and channels.


Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure content is accurate and reflects the organisation's initiatives and messaging.


Coordinate with external content creators and agencies as needed, supporting the Director’s efforts.


Engagement and Interaction:
Foster engagement and interaction with the audience through compelling digital content.


Use insights and feedback to continuously improve content quality and relevance.


Event Communications
Event Promotion Strategy Support:
Assist the Director in developing and executing a strategic communication plan to promote events.


Ensure all event communications are aligned with the organisation's branding and objectives.


Multi-Channel Communication:
Utilise a variety of channels, including email, social media, and the website, to promote events.


Ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all platforms.


Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with event stakeholders, including attendees, sponsors, and partners.


Ensure clear and effective communication before, during, and after events, supporting the Director.


Post-Event Analysis:
Collect and analyse feedback from event communications.


Use insights to improve future event communication strategies.


Training (Academy) Communications
Training Promotion Strategy Support:
Assist the Director in developing and implementing a communication plan to promote training programs.


Ensure training communications highlight the benefits and value of the programs.


Content Development:
Oversee the creation of promotional materials for training programs, including brochures, emails, and social media posts.


Ensure content is engaging and informative.


Internal Coordination:
Work closely with the training department to ensure accurate and timely communication of training programs.


Align training communications with overall marketing strategies.


Participant Engagement:
Engage with potential and current training participants through targeted communications.


Collect feedback to enhance training program promotion and delivery.


Newsletter
Newsletter Strategy Support:
Assist the Director in developing and overseeing the strategic vision for the organisation's newsletter.


Ensure the newsletter aligns with organisational goals and provides value to subscribers.


Content Planning and Creation:
Lead the planning and creation of engaging and informative newsletter content.


Ensure a consistent tone and style that reflects the organisation's brand.


Subscriber Engagement:
Grow and maintain the subscriber base through targeted campaigns.


Use analytics to understand subscriber preferences and improve content.


Distribution and Analysis:
Oversee the distribution of the newsletter.


Analyse performance metrics and use insights to refine future newsletters.


Press Releases
Press Release Strategy Support:
Assist the Director in developing and implementing a strategic plan for press releases.


Ensure press releases effectively communicate key messages and news.


Content Creation:
Lead the creation of compelling and newsworthy press releases.


Ensure accuracy and alignment with the organisation's messaging.


Media Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.


Ensure effective distribution of press releases to relevant media outlets.


Impact Analysis:
Monitor and analyse the impact of press releases.


Use feedback and analytics to improve future press release strategies.


Key Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; OR at least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.


Proven track record of successfully managing marketing campaigns and communication strategies.


Skills and Competencies:
Strong writing and editorial skills with ability to craft compelling content for various audiences, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, and digital content.


Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for creating marketing assets.


Strong ability to analyse marketing metrics, generate reports, and use data-driven insights for decision-making.


Experience in public relations, media engagement, and crisis communication.


Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.


Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.


Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
