As part of the Marketing team, the Manager Marketing & Sales will drive B2B activities including marketing services, group sales initiatives, ensuring quality, timeliness, and effectiveness in our marketing communications to corporate clients, venue partners, organisations and special interest groups so as to maximise revenue, build relationships and goodwill for the arts centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Group Sales Strategy and Business Development
- Responsible for building the framework for corporate group sales, identifying key target markets, and executing sales strategies to drive revenue.
This role requires a mix of strategic planning, relationship-building, and hands-on sales execution.
- Working with various internal departments and stakeholders to develop and implement a group sales framework, including pricing structures, package options and marketing strategies.
- Create and manage compelling group experience packages that align with Esplanade's suite of programme and experience offerings.
- Identify, engage and nurture relationships with potential corporate clients, organisations and special interest groups and key decision makers for sales opportunities.
- Work closely with Management team to set sales targets and report progress
Sales Execution and Client Relationship Management
- Proactively seek out and develop relationships with corporate clients, organisations and special interest groups including but not limited to organisations in the hospitality and MICE industries, Tourism, International Schools, etc.
- Conduct sales pitches, site visits and negotiations to secure group sale bookings and deliver results.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless experiences for clients.
- Maintain proper tracking of sales records with regular reporting and performance review.
Integrated Marketing Services and Account Management
- Along with Venue Planning and Marketing teams, liaise and work with venue partners in providing the suite of marketing services offered by Esplanade to promote and publicise partners' programmes, and support the achievement of ticket sales targets.
- Coordinate and manage both internal teams and venue partners to ensure timely and quality marketing, ensuring a win-win relationship for all.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications; diploma or university degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 year's working experience preferably in B2B Sales and/or Marketing, Account management with keen interest in performing arts and education.
- Proven experience in group sales, business development, or hospitality sales is required.
- Integrated marketing with understanding of budgets management.
- Self-starter, results-driven and comfortable working independently within a group
- Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills is required
- General knowledge and interest in the performing arts is important
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, to liaise with cross-functional working teams
- Open-minded, flexible and a keen attitude towards learning
- Competency in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint
