Purpose and Scope
This HR Business Partner role is an individual contributor supporting some of the divisions within the Gas & Related Services (GRS) line of business.
Reporting to the Head of HR for GRS, the HR Business Partner will serve as a key enabler of business performance through effective people strategies and workforce planning.
The role requires both strategic partnership and hands-on HR delivery, with operational support from centralized People Services (Recruitment, Payroll, and HR Operations) and Group HR Centres of Excellence (COEs).
In addition to supporting existing operations, this role will partner with business leaders on new market entry and project bids, ensuring HR readiness for overseas ventures and supporting workforce mobilization in new geographies.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring workforce readiness for current and future needs.
Collaborate with line managers to forecast manpower requirements, optimize resource allocation, and support recruitment through centralized People Services.
Provide HR advisory for new market entry and project bids, including workforce planning, manpower costing, compliance with local employment laws, and mobilization readiness.
Drive talent management initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and identification of high-potential employees.
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, calibration, and development planning, to foster a high-performance culture.
Work with managers to identify learning and development needs and facilitate targeted programs to build critical capabilities.
Provide guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation and compliance with employment legislation.
Champion employee engagement and change management efforts to strengthen organizational culture.
Partner with Total Rewards and COEs on compensation, benefits, and recognition programs tailored to business needs.
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, balancing business priorities with employee advocacy.
Act as the primary liaison between the Head of HR and divisional HRBPs, consolidating and cascading key HR information and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
At least 8 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a business partnering role.
Strong understanding of HR practices across the employee lifecycle and familiarity with local employment laws.
Experience in energy, utilities, or related industries preferred.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, especially with senior leadership
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution capabilities.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage complexity across multiple divisions.
