This leadership position sits on the leadership track and combines hands-on technical work with people management.
The ideal candidate is a player-coach who can support complex pre-sales engagements while fostering the growth and success of technical team members in a fast-paced environment.
The role is based in Singapore.
The Solution Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and scaling a team of Solutions Engineers who support prospects and customers through technical discovery, proof-of-concepts, and successful implementation of Apryse’s technology (SDKs).
This role focuses on enabling team performance, building operational efficiency, and aligning closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure customers realize value quickly.
During the recruitment process, candidates must already be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development: Manage a team of Solutions Engineers, oversee performance, development, and day-to-day operations; conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews; provide coaching and career pathing support; ensure clear goals aligned with business priorities; promote collaboration and continuous improvement; support hiring, onboarding, and training to scale the team.
Operational Management: Implement and apply defined team workflows for technical discovery, demos, POCs, and evaluation support; align SE coverage with sales priorities and balance workload; track KPIs and drive continuous improvement; identify execution gaps and provide feedback to improve efficiency; facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain technical resources and documentation; provide regular leadership feedback on capacity and workflow effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales leadership on opportunity management and escalation handling; partner with Product and Engineering to communicate customer feedback and roadmap needs; represent the SE team in cross-departmental meetings and participate in key customer meetings as a technical leader.
Technical Enablement & Support: Guide team members on complex technical issues, ensure up-to-date knowledge of Apryse products, deliver effective demos and POCs, and manage the internal SE request queue to cover opportunities in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5–7 years of experience in solution engineering, pre-sales, or similar customer-facing technical role.
1–2 years of experience in a team lead, mentoring, or formal management capacity.
Solid foundation in web technologies and modern development frameworks.
Experience with SDKs or developer tools is preferred.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, delegate effectively, and keep a team focused on outcomes.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience using CRM or project management tools (Salesforce, Jira, Confluence).
