The Role
The Strategic Events Specialist, APAC is a key support role within the Global Strategic Events team, responsible for assisting with the execution of MongoDB’s most strategic events through end-to-end coordination and content support.
Reporting to the Manager, APAC Strategic Events, this role will collaborate closely with the global team — including Event Content and Sponsorship — to ensure the seamless delivery of event logistics, marketing initiatives, and operational needs.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
This role requires adaptability to work across time zones and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to ensure events run seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support for the planning and execution of first-party events, including MongoDB.local programs, and third party events, like tradeshows and conferencesAssist with event logistics such as registration, signage, materials preparation, vendor communication, shipping, scheduling, etcHelp ensure cross-functional alignment by coordinating with field/strategic marketing, revenue marketing, DevRel, product marketing, and other teamsWork closely with the Strategic Event Operations team to support campaign execution, lead flow management, and sponsorship fulfillmentMaintain accurate event data, track key metrics, and assist in post-event reportingHelp manage event communications, including internal updates, promotional materials, and event messagingSupport manager with budget tracking, invoices, and contract managementAssist Sponsorship/Event Content team with presentation collection and tracking of session and speaker details, artifacts, and assetsBe adaptable and work across global time zones to support global strategic event team members, ensuring smooth execution regardless of location Success Measures
